Instructions

The instructions I am giving are the most versatile, meaning they are the most compatible no matter what programs you have on your computer.  There are other ways to transfer music to an mp3 player such as using software.  However, the purpose of my tutorial is to teach someone who may not have such software and to make it as simple as possible.http://i.dell.com/images/global/products

1) The fist step is to remove the USB cover and plug your DJ Ditty into a USB port on your computer.  If it has not been used yet, or the battery is low you’ll need to leave it plugged in long enough to fully charge.  As soon as you plugged your DJ Ditty into the USB port you should have noticed a box pop up basically recognizing a “device” being plugged in.

2)  In order to put music onto your DJ Ditty you’ll need to rip music onto your computer into a music program such as Windows Media Player which is a default program in Windows.

3)  Once you have created a library of music to choose selections from for your DJ Ditty, you can proceed to the simple transfer process.

4)  Double click on “My Computer” and you should see the icon for your DJ Ditty.  Double click on the DJ Ditty icon taking you into the file system.  You should now see a folder labled “music”.  Keep this open as you move to the next step.

5)  Open up the music folder where you have stored your music (most likely “my music”  located in “my documents”).

6) Now,  simply click on the folder or song that you want on your DJ Ditty, hold your finger down on the mouse as you “drag” the file or folder from your music folder over to your DJ Ditty file system and release it (“drag and drop”).  The folder or song you transfered will still be in the music folder on your computer once you have done this.  You have essentially taken a copy of it and placed it on your mp3 player.

7) Enjoy your music!
