Art ideas

I am a little confused so far with this project.  I’m not sure exactly where to go with my ideas.  Here are some…

• Make a slideshow with photos of my son
• Create an online gallery with black & white photos I take (I’ve always wanted to get into photography)
• Create a family website so that friends and family who live out of the area can connect with us and see what is going on with us

Financial Analysis project – ideas

I’ve thought of a few dreams for my project…things I’ve always wanted to do:

Have my own bakery; have my own preschool; have my own gym.

What I think I’ll focus on, though, is moving back to Alaska and having a sled dog team.  Yes, I would love to be a musher!  I could go all out and plan to compete seriously…eventually race in the Iditarod.  However, in order to not get ahead of myself and make things too complex, I think I’ll start small.  I’ll plan, instead, for a recreational dog team of 10 dogs. 

Teach project

So…I pretty much completed the module portion of this project.  Now I need to do the report.  My brain is not functioning all that well from working on it much of the day (just really wanted to get it done).  I’ll look at it again tomorrow with a “fresh eye”.  It was kind of a fun project!  If anyone happens to read this…my project is actually in my blog.  Any feedback is appreciated!  It’s the page “how to transfer music onto a DJ Ditty mp3 player”.

Ideas for something to teach…

I’m sitting here thinking of what to teach about…Janet left a comment on my blog earlier in the term about wanting to learn how to put music on an mp3 player.  I gave my sister a little mp3 player that I had gotten for free when I bought my laptop.  I have an ipod, so I gave her the little “dj ditty” that Dell gave me.  She is still waiting for me to show her how to put music on it.  So, maybe that will be my project, to teach how to put music on an mp3 player.  My sister will be happy

 I do have other ideas however.  I have a project for another class in which I need to make a digital recording of myself teaching a song to a child and then email it to my instructor.  I could teach how to do that…make and send a digital recording. 

I noticed that Ms. VanLonden posted an idea about selling on ebay…which is something I’ve done plenty of.  That’s another option.

Another idea could be starting an online forum for mom’s.  I am part of one but would like to start my own…maybe for mom’s into fitness or Christian mom’s or something.  That would be a learning process for me and I think it’s true that you learn best when you teach something. 

So…at least I have some ideas to mull over…

Correspondance

I finally received an email back from Dr. Dyck (I don’t know whether to address her as Dr. or Senator, as she is both…she is currently in the senate however.).  It seems that she is too busy to really respond to my questions in depth.  She did, however, let me know that there are hardly any other Canadian Aboriginal women in her field that she knows of.  That put things in a clearer perspective for me since she is actually in the field and not just researching it, like myself.
